Book and bake sale

AUBURN — A book and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 78 Pleasant St. The church women’s group is sponsoring the fundraiser to support their community outreach projects.

A wide range and mix of hard covers and paperbacks will be available at reduced prices. In addition, there will be a food table of desserts and baked goods prepared by the church women. A small cafe will also be set up to offer coffee, tea and finger foods.

Hand bell concert

AUBURN — A Spring Hand Bell Concert will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 16, at the Auburn United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave. The concert will include performances by the Methodist Hand Bell Ringers and the 4 Park Avenue Hand Bell Quartet. There is no admission charge for the event; however, a free-will donation will be accepted.

Light refreshments will be provided at the concert.

Italian bistro night

WALES — A spaghetti supper will be held at Wales Central School gym on Saturday, May 15. The first seating will be at 4:30 p.m. and the second at 5:30 p.m. The dinner is an eighth-grade fundraiser to help finance their class trip to Boston in June.

Tickets may be bought ahead of time or at the door. Cost for the dinner is $3 for children and seniors and $5 for adults. For more information, contact Kyle Stanley, advisor, at 375-6995, ext. 122.

Construction association

AUBURN — The Construction Financial Management Association will meet on Tuesday, May 18, at Martindale Country Club, 527 Beech Hill Road. A social hour will begin at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and a presentation at 7 p.m.

The meeting topic will be “Construction Information Technology.” Joshua Broder, general manager of Construction Change Partners, will present. The meeting is free for CFMA members and $30 for nonmembers.
