AUBURN — Kendra Hall of Livermore Falls, a liberal studies major at Central Maine Community College, has been selected to attend “Exploring Transfer,” a five-week summer program on Vassar College’s campus in Poughkeepsie, NY.
For over 20 years, the program has introduced community college students to the wide range of possibilities to continue their education at four-year colleges and universities. Students enroll in two three-credit courses during the program, courses that are team taught by a faculty member from both Vassar and a community college.
Students who are selected receive a scholarship from Vassar that covers the cost of the summer program, including tuition, room, board, books and supplies. In addition, the Maine Community College System provides financial assistance for travel expenses. Hall is the first CMCC student selected for this program.
