LEBANON, N.H. — Mary R. Collins, 92, formerly of Rumford, died Sunday, May 9, at the Mary Hitchcock Medical Center. She had resided in Rumford most of her life until moving to her daughter’s six years ago in Derry, N.H.

She was born March 26, 1918, in Rumford, the daughter of Vito and Stella (Serra) Vatalaro, and had attended Rumford schools.

She was a communicant of The Parish of the Holy Savior Church, and a member of the Widows and Wows. She enjoyed bowling, line dancing, and playing cards with her friends. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting.

She was married in Rumford on Feb. 16, 1942, to Donald A. Collins, who died in Rumford on June 6, 1978.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Levesque and husband, Thomas, of Derry, N.H., and Carol Ann Jones and husband, Ronald, of Jefferson; grandchildren, Shawn Levesque of Manchester, N.H., Tami Preve of Chichester, N.H., Brett Jones and Angela Sprague of Jefferson and Bethany Perry of Phelps, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Payton Preve of Chichester, N.H., Conor and Halle Jones of Jefferson, Emily Sprague of Jefferson and Paige Perry of Phelps, N.Y.; and sisters, Annie Chrissikos of Oxnard, Calif., and Elizabeth Doyen of Rumford.

She was predeceased by brothers, Anthony and Joe Vatalaro; and a sister, Rose Vatalaro.
