FARMINGTON — A wellness conference for business owners, CEOs, and human resources representatives of Greater Franklin County businesses will be held May 25 in the Bass Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital. It will run from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Attendees will learn how wellness programs and healthier employees can have a positive effect on their place of business. “Why Wellness, Why Now?” will feature a number of speakers, including a keynote presentation from world-renowned wellness authority and author Steven Aldana, Ph.D. His most recent book, “The Culprit and the Cure,” is currently being used by more than 4,500 companies and corporations to boost productivity and reduce employee-related health expenses. Dr. Aldana is also the CEO and founder of WellSteps, a wellness program designed to help employees adopt and maintain healthy lifelong behaviors.

Along with an understanding of work site wellness, attendees will receive a USB drive loaded with speaker presentations and information. The event will also include breakfast, networking opportunities and a formal question-and-answer session.
