WINTHROP — Spike mats placed on Route 202 Wednesday in an attempt to stop Glen Witham did not cause a nearly head-on collision. The crash occurred a few miles from the site where the spike mats were placed. A story on Thursday’s front page incorrectly reported the reason for the crash. The information was incorrectly submitted to the Sun Journal.
