NORWAY — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865, Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19 of Stoneham, met at the home of Marilyn Jones on April 28. The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by Jones.

Marge Nihan was chaplain pro-tem in the absence of Loretta Andrews.

The Judith Grover Tent 17 of Bryant Pond were guests, including Department of Maine President Michelle Cary, A.J. Cary, Elsie Bonney, Helvi Cary and Sally Sawyer.

Nihan was installed Junior Vice President by Michelle Cary. Jones presented Lynn Cummings Pike with a birthday cake, it being her birthday that day.

Tent 19 will have a program at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 23, at the Stoneham Church, followed by the regular church service. After the service, members will go to West Stoneham to hold services at the grave of William Warren Durgin who was a pallbearer for Abraham Lincoln. Anyone is welcome to attend.

The next meeting of Tent 19 will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the Community Room in Stoneham. It will be a memorial service for deceased members.
