SALT LAKE CITY, Itah — Sandra J. Montgomery Taylor, 69, formerly of New Sharon, passed Monday, May 10, in Salt lake City, Utah, where she had been serving on a family history mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was born in Portland, Ore., May 23, 1940, the daughter of Jack and Sarah (Blanchard) Montgomery. She graduated from Grant High School in Portland, Ore., and then later in life from the University of Maine at Farmington.

She was always on the go. Her endless energy and enthusiasm translated into involvement in countless things, from family, to her service in the LDS church, community volunteer and service organizations, crafts, traveling, reading, and even Facebook. She invented her own drum and marched accordingly. Her love was given freely and in abundance. Sandi will be missed by all.

Survivors include four daughters, Cindy Brown and husband, Harry, of Starks, Candy Daley and husband, Rick, of New Brunswick, Canada, Sally Hendershot and her husband, Greg, of Kansas, and Kristin Wiggins of Bangor; two sons, Jonathon Taylor and his wife, Holly, of Eddington and Carl Taylor of Harpswell; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Wood of Ohio, and Tamara Wilson of Oregon.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Edgar Montgomery.
