AUGUSTA — Maine energy officials say heating oil prices in Maine have fallen slightly in the past week.

The Governor’s Office of Energy Independence and Security said Tuesday that the statewide average cash price for heating oil is $2.73 a gallon, down 2 cents from last week.

Northern Maine has the highest prices, while southwestern Maine has the lowest.

Kerosene was selling for an average of $3.11 a gallon, while propane was going for $2.68.
