AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library’s fifth annual English Tea will provide an opportunity to enjoy tea and tasty accompaniments with friends from the community. The tea will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 27, in the library’s Androscoggin Community Room.

In addition to tea and refreshments, the Reader’s Theater Production troupe will perform a short, comic reading for all to enjoy. The event will also feature an opportunity to win a gift basket donated to the Auburn Public Library by Charlene LeClair of Auburn.

“The English Tea is a great event for the Auburn Library. It’s an enjoyable event with good tea, good food and interesting people,” said English Tea Committee member and Auburn Public Library Trustee, Tonie Ramsey.

“It also helps raise additional resources for buying new books and providing the latest online reference material to people of all ages,” she said.

Tickets for the English Tea are $10 and may be purchased at the Auburn Public Library, Monday through Saturday, during the library’s regular hours.
