FARMINGTON — The public is invited to an opening of three local art studios featuring area artists from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 22-23.

Works by Janet Washburn, Su and Richard Johnson, and Marjorie Austin will be displayed at 115 Front St. Artwork will include paintings in watercolor, oil and pastels; pottery; clay and bronze sculpture; and framed prints.

At 255 Main St., Gayle Barigar will show oil paintings.

The third site, Mt’n View Art Studio at 382 Barker Road near the Farmington/New Vineyard town line, will show works by Joyce Dubay and many of her students, as well as Jodi and Robin Harnden. Pieces will include iron work, jewelry, matted prints, original paintings in oil, watercolor, pencil and mixed media, and miniatures.

Among Dubay’s students showing works are Harriet Chassie, Warren Doe, John Eubank, Matianna Glass, Malena Godriguez, Sabrina Gordon, Donna Hinkley, Alice Kamm, Wilfred Manley, Bonnie McCullough, Cindie Norton, Rick Rose, Sally Speich, Barbara Toner, Chris Park Warren and Nora West.

There will be light refreshments and a drawing for a free print at the end of the show.
