Teachers should not be blamed if children failed the SAT. It is my opinion that the reason why students do not do well in school is because more time is devoted to playing sports, not much time left for homework.
After being in school and then out on the sports field, children are too tired to do homework. Practice time also takes the students away from homework.
Parents, working long hours at jobs and then at chores and errands to be done, do not have time to help the children with homework.
I believe sports should be kept as a summer activity, with no school time.
Why treat kids as if they have to compete like professional players? They are kids. Let them relax and have fun as kids.
