GRAY, Maine (AP) — A Maine sheriff’s department says a suspect being sought in the shooting of a man during a home invasion in Gray should be considered armed and dangerous.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department says 52-year-old Jon A. Brown, who has no known address, is a suspect in the nonfatal shooting just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officials say the suspect went to the Gray home on Route 26 and tied up the victim before the victim was beaten with a blunt object and then shot in the head.
The victim, whose name was not released, freed himself and called for help from a neighbor’s house.
Officials say Brown has served time in prison for violent crimes.
