Benefit event

MEXICO — A benefit event will be held Saturday, June 5, at the King Hiram Lodge, Route 2. Proceeds will benefit the families of Jeffrey Burgess and Adam Turner. Burgess and Turner were involoved in an automobile accident. As a result of the accident, Burgess lost his life and Turner is severely injured.

There will be a Chinese auction, with more than 100 items, from 9 a.m. to noon. A food sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a buffet-style supper will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Cost for supper is $6 for adults, $3 for kids. Takeout is available for $6.

A 50/50 raffle will be held during the supper and there will be a $1 raffle table. Event organizers are seeking donations for the auction, raffle table, food sale and supper. For more information, call Peggy at 357-7072.

Class reunion

RUMFORD — The Rumford High School Class of 1975 will hold its 35-year class reunion on Saturday, July 24, at the American Legion Hall. Any classmates that plan to attend are asked to send payment to Carol (Brennick) Nadeau or Georgette (Pelletier) Hodgson by Thursday, June 24.

Benefit yard sale

DIXFIELD — A yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at 50 Webb River Drive. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Rachel Chow, a participant in the Team in Training Program for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Chow will run the Rock and Roll half-marathon on June 26, in Seattle.
