Legion dance

SOUTH PARIS — The Jones Dance Band will play old-fashioned dance music from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the South Paris Legion Hall on Church Street. The cost is $5 and the lunch counter will be open.

Yard sale

SOUTH PARIS — A fundraiser yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 27 and 28, at 659 Park St., Route 26. There will also be a shoe giveaway during the yard sale. Donations and volunteers are needed.

Preschool group

PARIS — The Paris Public Library continues to host a preschool play group at 9:30 a.m. every Friday. All families with children between the ages of 1 and 3 are welcome.

Bridge play

NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met May 21 in the Fare Share Building, Main Street, when a five-and-a-half Howell movement was played.

Finishing first in flight A were Haziel Glazier and Pete Cummings, also first in flight B; second in flight A, Jim Fallon and Richard Worthington, also second in flight B; third in flight A, Pat and Mike Quinn. Finishing third in flight B were Kathy Feld and Denny Raymond.

First in flight C were Kathy Feld and Denny Raymond; second, Suzanne Dame Andrews and Carol Curran; third, Linda Smith and Jack Neal third. The next game will be played at 9:15 a.m. Friday, May 28. All bridge players are invited and a partner is guaranteed.

Sunday School

EAST SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will host Summer Sunday School from 9 to 10 a.m. every Sunday. The youth will plant a vegetable garden and tend to it each week, as well as read Bible verses, sing songs and do puppet skits and other activities indoors and out.

The produce from the garden will be given out to the community. A coffee hour follows each service from 10 to 10:30 a.m. For more information, call Cyndy Norton at 388-2667.
