AUBURN — Pack Life is seeking product donations to use as prizes for its annual summer raffle.

Last year, Pack Life raised more than $3,000 with the first ever raffle fundraiser. More than 30 prizes were raffled, donated by businesses and community members. This year, the group is hoping to increase donations to over $5,000 and raise enough to spay and neuter 100 dogs.

Since setting out on their mission in 2009, the members of Pack Life have traveled to countless events throughout Maine to educate people about important initiatives including adoption, spay-neuter and humane education. They have worked together to help rescue multiple dogs that were facing certain death and have donated funds to provide medical care for these dogs, as well as provided support to ensure that they have a home.

In April, Pack Life set out to clean the Lewiston-Auburn area and encourage people to clean up after their dogs. Fourteen volunteers helped to clean the community and raise money to provide spays and neuters for dogs in need. In the past year, the group has raised more than $7,000 for organizations who are working toward no-kill goals.

The raffle will be held in July, and donation commitments should be reported to Pack Life as soon as possible to ensure publication on the group’s website, letter, Facebook page and all other raffle correspondence.

Items can be mailed to Pack Life at P.O. Box 1017, Lewiston, ME 04243, or call to arrange pickup. For more information, call 754-5757 or e-mail Cassandra@packlife.org.
