NORWAY — The youth group of the Second Congregational Church, UCC, will hold a bottle drive and car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29, in the church parking lot, 205 Main St.

The money raised from the event will fund their July mission trip to Heifer Project’s Overlook Farm. They and their adult chaperones will volunteer a week at the farm.

Heifer Project International provides large and small animals, bees, chicks and seeds to individuals in the U.S. and around the world. The goal is to help those less fortunate to become self-supporting and that they in turn will pass the gift of an animal on to one of their neighbors.

The church holds a fair each year in the late fall to raise money for Heifer Project International. This year, the church is not only donating money, but also the time and talent of their youth and members. For more information, call the church office 743-2290.
