LEWISTON — World-renowned California winemaker Joseph Carr was in attendance at a recent benefit at Fuel restaurant where $4,500 was raised for the American Heart Association. It was the second time in two years that Carr has done a dinner at Fuel for an association fundraiser. Carr’s father passed away of a heart attack at 59 years of age. The fundraiser included a five-course dinner, a band, a silent auction, Joseph Carr wines and stories told by Carr. The Central Maine Heart Walk will be held on Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Riverwalk in Lewiston-Auburn.
