LIVERMORE FALLS — The communities of Jay and Livermore Falls and the Androscoggin Land Trust, will partner with the Jay and Livermore Falls Middle Schools and the new owners of the former Otis Paper Mill to celebrate their first National Trails Day event Friday, June 4.

Chisholm Trails, the local trails program that has emerged from the early planning efforts and named after industrialist and International Paper founder Hugh Chisholm, is coordinating the program, according to a release issued by the Land Trust Friday.

Middle school students from both schools will walk the proposed new riverside trail route departing at 8 a.m. Livermore Falls students will walk north and Jay students will walk south until they meet in the middle at the Otis Mill complex, the release stated.
