The Girl Scouts of Maine, Dirigo Neighborhood, held its second annual Pinewood Derby at the Pathway Vineyard Church in Lewiston. Girls were given blocks of wood from which they had to design and construct their own car. In following the rules of the contest, cars had to be within certain size and weight restrictions. Forty-five girls ranging from age 5 to 14, from Lewiston, Durham, Lisbon and Sabattus attended the event.
