TOPSHAM — The Midcoast Youth Theater will hold auditions for two new summer musical productions: one for middle-school students and the other for elementary-school kids.

The middle-school show, “Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr.,” is a stage adaptation of the hit movie. The madcap story, set in the 1920s in New York, is told with the help of a new score and high-energy dance numbers. Auditions will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on either Thursday, June 3, or Friday, June 4. Performances will be Aug. 19, 20, 21 and 22.

Auditions for elementary-age children for “Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids” will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on either Thursday, June 10, or Friday, June 11. Performances will be July 15, 16 and 17.

Auditions will be in the music room at Mt. Ararat High School.

Students may participate in only one MYT summer show. A troupe fee of $75 per participant will be due at the first rehearsal. Alumni are welcome and encouraged to join a production crew. For more information, call Henry Eichman at 751-7691.
