SABATTUS — Brian and Ann Doane of Litchfield, N.H., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Doane, to Scott Morency, son of Paul Morency of Waterville and Diane and Pete Griffin of Sabattus.

Miss Doane is a 2002 graduate of Alvirne High School in Hudson, N.H., a 2006 graduate of Bentley University, with a bachelor’s degree in corporate finance and accounting, and a 2007 graduate of Bentley University, with a master’s degree in accounting. She is employed as the accounting manager in the auditor’s office with the city of Waltham, Mass.

Mr. Morency is a 2001 graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn. He is also a 2006 graduate of Bentley University, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and a 2007 graduate of Bentley University, with a master’s degree in taxation. He is employed as a certified public accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Scott also published “What a CEO Can Learn From a Fourth Grader” in 2008.

 An October wedding is planned.
