LEWISTON – The United Soccer Academy is proud to announce the return of Eric Wagner, Swarthmore College men’s soccer coach. He will be in charge of an exciting addition the its curriculum for this year’s summer program. It is a High School Preseason Trainer added to the youth level sessions. This will be for both boys and girls.

Wagner has long been a builder of programs through out his collegiate coaching career. This past season the Garnet accepted an NCAA tournament bid for the third year in a row. Wagner’s college teams have traveled to England and Brazil in the past. Many of his players have received conference and regional recognition awards for both athletic and academic honors.

The Academy also welcomes Frank “Butch” Dow as the returning keeper coach. Dow has trained and coached for SoccerPlus under Tony DiCicco, who is presently the coach for the Boston Breakers of the Women’s Professional Soccer League. Butch Dow’s keepers are well prepared both mentally and physically for the challenges of the game.

This year’s academy will be held the week of July 26-30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lewiston High School.

The High School Preseason Trainer has special discount incentives for both boys and girls coming from the same high school team. The cost for individuals is $135 for the week. However, if there are five players or more from the same high school team, the cost is $120 per player.
