AUBURN — Ella (Bilodeau) Kinney Lee, 81 of Auburn formerly of Greene passed away on Friday, June 18, at Clover Nursing Facility with the love of her family surrounding her.

She was born Sept. 3, 1928, in Skowhegan, daughter to the late Ernest and Pauline (Finnemore) Bilodeau. She was one of nine children. She attended Skowhegan schools.

She fell in love with Clayton Kinney; a local boy from Skowhegan who was overseas in World War II. When Clayton returned stateside they soon became engaged. In 1946, they married. The couple traveled from Maine to Florida, with their race horses, until Clayton’s passing in 1981.

In February 1992, she married Donald E. Lee of Spring Valley, Wis. Don and Ella met at a dance in Zephyrhills, Fla., and fell head over heals in love. The couple resided in Zephyrhills, but traveled all over the country in their RV, spending each summer in Wisconsin and in Maine until Don’s passing in 2001.

She loved spending time with her family. She was a kind person with a quick sense of humor and loved to sing to her grandchildren. She did everything in her power to provide for her family. She will be forever in the hearts of people whom interacted with her and deeply missed.

She leaves two daughters, Susan K. Meisner of Greene and Linda L. Craig and her husband, James, of Lisbon Falls; two granddaughters, Kristy L.
