RUMFORD — After almost 20 years on Andover Road, the Praise Assembly of God church will move to a larger location that is much closer to downtown Rumford. On Friday, June 25, the church will move to the Linnell Motel and Conference Center, 986 Prospect Ave.

“We are very excited about being able to move into a much larger facility while also helping more families in the River Valley community,” said Pastor Justin Thacker. The church sanctuary and fellowship area will be in the Pavilion and children’s and youth programs will be in the Conference Center.

All are welcome to attend services at the church. Sunday School for all ages is held at 9 a.m. Sunday worship services are at 10 a.m., which also includes Children’s Ministry for ages 2 to 11, and at 6 p.m. Family night for all ages is held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.

To celebrate the opening weekend at the new location, the Lord Family from Blue Hill will be in concert at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 25 and 26 and at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, June 27. The Lord Family is a family of eight that travel North America singing, performing human videos, puppetry and sharing messages from the Bible.

As a point of information, Thacker’s office, the church office and the food pantry will still be at the old church location at 170 Andover Road. The church office and food pantry hours are 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday and by appointment.
