AUBURN — Irene Dudzic Pepin, 94, of 540 College St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, June 22, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 17, 1915, the daughter of William and Eveline Albert Baker. Educated locally, she married Francis Dudzic in 1939. Mr. Dudzic passed away on Sept. 18, 1968.

In 1983, she married Agenord F. Pepin, who passed away on Feb. 14, 2001. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a seamstress at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. A member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish, she also belonged to Lewiston Senior Citizens and the Dames de St. Anne.

She enjoyed family get-togethers, summering at Mackerel Cove with her second husband, and was an avid reader. She was especially proud of her skill at knitting, and all of her grandchildren cherish the beautiful Irish-knit sweaters she made for them.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Dudzic and wife, Sandy, of Lisbon Falls and Richard Dudzic and wife, Linda, of Petaluma, Calif.; a daughter, Kathleen and husband, Gerald W. Burpee Sr. of Sarasota, Fla.; two brothers, Roger and John P. Baker, both of Lewiston; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Madeline Boudreault in 1995.
