LEWISTON — The Independence Day Committee invites residents of Lewiston-Auburn and neighboring towns to the 14th annual Liberty Festival on Sunday, July 4, to celebrate our nation’s independence with music, food and fireworks.

The festival on the banks of the Androscoggin River will feature a concert stage at Veterans Park, vendors and dancing with music by Veggies by Day at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch.

Entertainment at Veterans Park will kick off with the Fortier Family Cheer Center cheerleaders performing at 6 p.m. on the main stage. Planet Cheer athletes of all ages will perform a choreographed routine showcasing their stunting, cheering, dancing and tumbling abilities.

At 7 p.m., Jeroba Jump will play 1970s and ’80s music from arena rock bands, with songs from Styx, Loverboy, Journey, Bon Jovi and other bands.

At 8:25 p.m., Twyce Shy, a 1980s hair metal tribute band, will perform songs by Kiss, Motley Crue and other high-energy decade bands. Band members are Rod Steele, JP Marino DeeZul, Blackie Richmore and Rycky Styx.

Veggies by Day will perform at 7 p.m. Tickets, $15, may be purchased at the Hilton.
