WESTBROOK, Maine (AP) — Two firefighters from the Maine city of Westbrook are on administrative leave after being arrested on criminal charges.
The charges were unrelated to their official duties.
The Portland Press Herald says part-time firefighter Richard Dorr was arrested June 22 on domestic violence and other charges.
While police were serving Dorr with paperwork related to a relief from abuse order, they learned his roommate, full time firefighter James Gammons, had a weapon in his possession.
Gammons was convicted of a felony in 1983 and prohibited from possessing a firearm.
