FARMINGTON — Michelle Dunlap, director of Revenue Cycle, announces that Linda Pooler has been appointed manager of the Franklin Memorial Hospital health information management department, which deals with medical records.

In her new position, Pooler will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily functions of the hospital’s health information management department, including coding, transcription and chart completion, while maintaining patient confidentiality. She supervises a staff of 13.

Pooler earned two associate’s degrees from Kennebec Valley Technical College, one in health information technology and the other in general technology. She had 11 years of medical records and coding experience while with Inland Hospital in Waterville and was the 2008 recipient of the prestigious Champion Award for her customer service skills.

She is credentialed as a registered health information technician through the American Health Information Management Association. She is a member of the board of directors of the Maine Health Information Management Association and also serves as co-chair of the program and arrangements committee.

Pooler lives in Bingham and is the parent of three grown children and the grandparent of two.
