LEWISTON — Maine Family Federal Credit Union has announced its 2010 scholarship recipients:

Liza Sirois, daughter of David and Constance Sirois, Lewiston, is the recipient of the Roger Bissonnette Scholarship. She will attend St. Joseph’s College in Standish to study biology in hopes of one day becoming a veterinarian of her own practice.

Sirois received first honors on all of her report cards throughout high school and was a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society. She was a youth leader at Camp Mechuwana from the summer of her eighth grade to the summer of 11th grade. She was a member of the swim team throughout high school, and volunteered with her team at the Balloon Festival, the Liberty Festival and the Sunday River Festival.

Chelsea Letourneau, daughter of Marc and Susan Letourneau, Lewiston, is the recipient of the Maurice Fontaine Sr. Scholarship. She will attend Northeastern University in the fall and will study communications.

A member of the National Honor Society, field hockey and tennis teams, Letourneau was on the honor roll all four years of high school and was the recipient of the Wellesley College Book Award. She has worked as a daycare assistant, a receptionist and has volunteered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program of Androscoggin County since 2008.

Dayle Castonguay, daughter of Donald and Debra Castonguay, Lewiston, is the recipient of the Founders Scholarship. She will attend Emmanuel College in Boston and will study history and secondary Education.

She has served as an officer in various roles of her school’s vocal music department, student council, Key Club and the National Honor Society. She has volunteered more than 200 hours for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, organized food drives and has assisted in adopting needy families at Christmas.
