DEAR SUN SPOTS: I need your help reaching the Big Deal at WPOR by e-mail. I tried numerous times at Big Deal@Wpor.com, and it always fails. The e-mail returns to me saying it is wrong! Does anyone know the correct e-mail so I can send my e-mail?

Also how are the same people able to reach WPOR by phone on Sunday mornings from 7 to 9 a.m.? I tried, and it is impossible. No matter how fast I dial I am never successful getting through. Please let me know the magic way to get through. I truly appreciate your help. Please call me anytime, and you can leave me a message at 375-9901. Wishing everyone a fun and healthy summer. — Lisa, Buffey261@Juno.com

ANSWER: The thing about e-mail is that it is very particular about details. You must have the exact address. In this case, you are leaving out a word and inserting a space. Try thebigdeal@wpor.com. You can read more details of the Big Deal at http://tinyurl.com/2aaq9kf. It says you should call 792-9767 between 8 and 10 a.m.

(For readers who are unfamiliar with WPOR’s Big Deal, it is a radio swap shop, where listeners can buy or trade items.)

The only tip Sun Spots has for getting through on the phone is using the redial feature on your phone. Perhaps readers will have other suggestions.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter in Greene that cares for feral cats. It receives no federal or state funding and relies on the generosity of individuals to help pay for the food and veterinary care for hundreds of discarded cats.

Tommy’s cares for feral cats that would otherwise be euthanized or left to perish. Please help us take care of them with your donations by calling me at 650-8374 to arrange for pickup/delivery of your items. — Norm, Greene

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you for running my letter in regard to rhubarb pie recipe. I do not have a computer, so I could not look it up that way. But thanks to you, a couple of very nice ladies called me with two great recipes. Thanks. — Ann Miner, Turner

ANSWER: While the Internet is a great resource in so many ways, for those who do not have computers it is frustrating to be referred to online sources, so Sun Spots always tries to provide other information. Unfortunately, that is not always possible, and then she suggests people visit their public library. Sun Spots is very glad readers were able to help you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Recently my husband and I moved our mobile home to a different park. This was done by a Mr. Chicoine and his crew. I just want to say they did a terrific job and even moved our addition without breaking one window. It was a job well done and very reasonably too considering all that had to be done.

Also, a big thanks to Tony Wight and his crew for all they did in the outgoing and incoming setup, carpentry, etc., with both the trailer and the addition. I would definitely recommend these people. — The Longs, Brunswick
