Society lawn sale

MEXICO — The Mexico Historical Society annual lawn sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 30 and 31, at 3 Oxford St. The society is accepting donations for the sale.

Items may be left on the front or back porch at the museum or call Bob Daigle at 364-2224. Appliances and clothing will not be accepted. Hot dogs and bottled water will be available for sale.

RUMFORD — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1955 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at the Route 2 Diner, for their monthly luncheon.

MEXICO — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine held their June meeting at Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley and enjoyed the lupine tour.

The Pine Tree Lassies of Wilton have invited the group to a “Christmas in July” event, to be held Wednesday, July 14, at LaFleur’s Restaurant in Jay. The cost is $13.

The July meeting will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at the Green Church, and will be a Mystery Tea, “Who killed the Roving Romeo of the Red Feather Ladies?” The cost is $10. To attend, send money to Isabel, co-queen, by Wednesday, July 21.

RUMFORD — The Mexico High School Class of 1953 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, at the Route 2 Diner. All classmates are invited.
