DIXFIELD — Countryfolk Music Theatre in East Dixfield will hold its second annual Christmas in July event on Sunday, July 11. The event will gather food donations for the local food bank.
Last year, 151 cans of food and dry goods were donated. Larry Bisbee of Wilton and Sally Latham of Livermore, hosts of the Countryfolk event, said they hope to have even more contributed this year.
They said that canned goods may be dropped off at Countryfolk Music Theatre, located on US Route 2 in East Dixfield, any time during July.
This year’s special Sunday will be in memory of Countryfolk volunteer, Charlotte Witten of Auburn.
Free Countryfolk music continues from noon to 6 p.m. each Sunday throughout the summer with a musician’s jam from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays. All musicians are invited.
For more information, contact Bisbee at 645-4411.
