AUBURN — Members of the Church of Eternal Life, Spiritualist, invite the public to join them at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 11, to celebrate the opening of their new church. Services will be held at the First Universalist Church, 169 Pleasant St.

The Church of Eternal Life, Spiritualist, will be the sixth Spiritual church in Maine which also has three Spiritual camps. The church is opening in the Lewiston-Auburn community as the result of the efforts of several local Spiritualists. The founder and President is Catherine M. Sabine, M.Ed, a longtime resident of the Lewiston-Auburn area.

Sabine is a graduate from Penn State and now a retired marriage and family therapist and alcohol/drug counselor. Presently, she is pursuing her studies at the Morris Pratt Institute to become an ordained minister. She is a commissioned healer, medium and she has recently passed her Pastoral Skills Program. She is also a Tribal Elder of the Aroostook Band of Micmac Indians.

The pastor of the church is the Rev. Stephanie Frosbese, national spiritualist teacher. Through her studies of Spiritualism with the Morris Pratt Institute she obtained certification as a Lycentiate Minister in 1982 and taught many classes on spiritualism, healing and mediumship.

She served as the pastor of the Church of Spiritual Life in Methuen, Mass. After completing further studies through the Morris Pratt Institute she was ordained as a minister of Spiritualism in 2006.
