University of Maine at Farmington recently held its 18th annual Summer Experience, bringing together 124 first-year students currently enrolled for admission to UMF in the fall as members of the class of 2014. The students came from all over New England as well as from Colorado, Nevada and Maryland. Staying in a residence hall on campus from June 20 to 25, students had the opportunity to meet with faculty, learn about class scheduling, attend a seminar course, familiarize themselves with campus buildings and resources and become acquainted with fellow students. The events concluded with a Thursday barbecue and a Friday question and answer session with UMF President Theodora J. Kalikow. The students are pictured on the UMF campus during the Summer Experience.
