Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Capponi was promoted to his current rank on July 1. He was also recently reassigned to Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron 269 located at Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., where he works in the Quality Assurance Division.
Capponi graduated in 1994 from Mountain Valley High School in Rumford and has served 16 years in the United States Marine Corps. He currently resides in Richlands, N.C., with his wife Colleen and two children, Alaina and Rocco.
