Karaoke event

NAPLES — The first annual Lake Region High School football team’s “Rockin’ It Out With Karaoke” event will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 16, in the high school cafeteria.

Some of the high school football stars will rock their favorite tunes to help raise money for their team. Attendees can come watch and request songs. Refreshments will be on sale.

Yard sale

OXFORD — Poland Spring Academy will hold its annual yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 16, and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 17. The event will be held at the Oxford Advent Christian Church on Route 26. A bake sale will also be featured.

Chinese auction

NAPLES — A Chinese auction cruise fundraiser on the Songo River Queen II will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 16. There will be a dollar table, 50/50 raffle, grab bags and food and drinks for sale.

Advance ticket sales are available with special pricing. Tickets are limited. For more information, call 743-6982. Proceeds will benefit The Resistance Ministries and Hope House, a nonprofit youth ministry.

Beano

WATERFORD — There will be beano at Papoose Pond Camping Resort at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning July 13. The resort is located at 700 Waterford Road. Proceeds will benefit the Stoneham Rescue Service.

MEXICO — An outdoor yard sale and indoor food sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at the Mexico U.C.C. (the Green Church).

Class lunch

MEXICO — The Mexico High School Class of 1948 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, at the Covered Wagon.

Music show

SALEM — A music show will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 18, at the Salem Community Building. The event will feature Gary and Lois Hall and Mike Worthley.

A donation box will be at the door. Refreshments will be on sale. The show is sponsored by the Salem Pine Tree Club.

Summer fair

RANGELEY — The women of the Good Shepherd Church, Main Street, will host their annual summer fair and luncheon in the undercroft, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15.

Tables will display a variety of handmade and Christmas crafts, items from the Busy Hands contributors, special cookies, homemade foods and the gifts of the Et Cetera shop. A luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the menu featuring chicken pot pie, along with other choices and homemade desserts. Proceeds from the fair will go to community outreach. Look for the banner and balloons.
