WATERFORD — Many new activities have been added to the Waterford World’s Fair for this year.
On Friday, July 16, at 8 p.m., there will be a Worlds Fair Campfire and Singalong. Attendees should bring a lawn chair and if desired, ingredients to make s’mores. Anyone who plays a musical instrument may bring those along.
On Sunday, July 18, at 1 p.m., kids can come to the horse show area and find $1 bills in the hay. There will be three age groups participating in the event. A bike giveaway will follow at 2 p.m. in Expo 1. The child must be present to win a brand new bike with a helmet.
Also on Sunday, at 3 p.m., there will be a Back Seat Driver Contest, open to any two people over the age of 18. The first place winners will receive $100; second place, $50; and third place, $25.
The next meeting for the fair will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at the fairgrounds and it will be a potluck. All fair members are encouraged to attend.
