BETHEL — There may be images of mountains, trout, lighthouses, loons, the night sky, flowers, moose, birds or perhaps a girl with butterflies. The common denominator?

These have all been hand-painted on Adirondack chairs handmade by local craftsman Reggie Brown.

A total of 17 whimsical and colorful ARTirondack chairs will be put on the auction block Saturday, July 17, on the Bethel Common during Mollyockett Days. All proceeds will go to the Mahoosuc Arts Council for local arts programming for all ages.

“Brother Sun, Sister Moon: A Tribute to St. Francis, Patron Saint of Animals,” by Louisa Abarno; “Brookies Playin’ Hookie,” by Jewel Clark at Brooks Bros.; “Fox Island,” by Suzanne Hardy at Sunday River Golf Club; and “Glory,” by Heather Hastings at North East Bank; and “Birds & Birches,” by Lauren Head at Sudbury Inn;”

Also: “Summer’s Shadow,” by Troy Jordan at Bethel USPS; “Bethel Hill Tonic Water,” by Donnie Katlin at Bethel USPS; “Paisley Dayz,” by Karen Campbell at Viewer’s Choice Video; and “Tresor Cache,” by Sarah Lane at Home Slice Pizza; “Temenos,” by Sarah Shepley at Roosters Road House;

And: “Bethel History Scrapbook,” by Conni St Pierre with images provided by the Bethel Historical Society at Sunday River Real Estate; “Sunset at Concord Pond in Memory of James T. Keith,” by Laura Worrick at Isabella’s; “Oz,” by Scott Lane at Pok Sun Emporium; “Patriots,” by Cailin Kavanagh at Books N Things; “Poppies,” by Abby Blackburn (raffle, this chair will be in various locations); “The Places We Will Go,” by Mahoosuc Kids Association at Cresent Park School; and “Spring Blossoms,” by Mahoosuc Kids Association at Dream Realty.

The one-of-a-kind chairs will be displayed at area locations until July 16, when they will be moved to the Gibson Room at the The Bethel Inn, with a preview reception at 7 p.m.

Auctioneer Joe Gaidis will conduct the seventh annual ARTirondack Auction at 2 p.m. on July 17 at the gazebo on the common.
