STRATTON — The Dead River Area Historical Society will pay tribute to selectman Leon Wyman on Sunday, July 18. Wyman was voted selectman by the citizens of Eustis from 1917-1920, 1926-1931 and 1939-1970, a total of 42 years.

Wyman’s daughter-in-law, Betty Wyman, and family members will attend and remember his life. The museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum includes the genealogy of the Wyman family and many photographs from years ago.

The special days at the historical society are not presentations, but a gathering of people knowledgeable about the featured subject. On display in the museum are artifacts, manuscripts, and photographs that have been donated or loaned by interested townspeople and descendants of original families of the Dead River Region.

For more information, call Betty Wyman at 246-6142.
