AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer “Negotiating through Conflict” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 4 and 11. The cost is $165 including materials.

In the program, participants will define conflict, learn and practice negotiating methods to resolve and prevent conflict and identify opportunities for conflict prevention. Participants will learn how to meet conflict directly, honestly and with support, for mutually winning results.

The workshop will be facilitated by Susan deGrandpre. deGrandpre has a master’s degree in education from the University of Southern Maine and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of Massachusetts. She has been adjunct faculty at St. Joseph’s College and Southern Maine Community College. Her corporate experience includes L.L. Bean and Unum where she held leadership positions in customer service.
