FARMINGTON – A Farmington man facing a charge of sexually assaulting a 15-year old girl has been released on $1,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Farmington District Court on Sept. 24.
James D. Hobert, 42, of 175 Dunham Road, is charged with gross sexual assault.
According to a report filed by Farmington Police Officer Bridgette Gilbert, the victim revealed the ongoing incidents of alleged sexual assaults to her mother, who reported it to Child Health and Family Services, an office of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
The case was referred for investigation to Farmington police.
Following her investigation, Gilbert spoke with Hobert on July 28 at the Farmington Town Office. Following the interview, she arrested him, according to her 21-page report.
The case is expected to be referred to the next Franklin County grand jury in September, officials said.
