LEWISTON — Leopold J. Langlois, 78, of 211 Randall Road, passed away on Friday, Aug. 6, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in Berlin, N.H., June 12, 1932, the son of the late Alfred and Marie Anne Poirier Langlois. He was educated in Berlin schools and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1950. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He married Monique Roux at Holy Family Church in Lewiston on July 4, 1962. They were residents of Berlin, N.H., moving to Lewiston three years ago.
Leopold was employed by the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 506 in Berlin, a Past Faithful Navigator of the 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Prince of Peace Parish at Sts. Peter and Paul Basilica.
He is survived by his wife of Lewiston; two sons, Fr. John Langlois O.P. of New York City, N.Y., and Alan Langlois and his companion, Steven Mitchell, of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Julienne Nicoletti and husband, John, of Berlin, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Langlois.
