FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington fall term 2010 course registration is now open to members of the public not currently enrolled in a UMF degree program. Registration is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, beginning Aug. 1, at the UMF Merrill Center, Merrill Hall, 224 Main St.
Fall term courses will offer members of the general public the opportunity to earn college credit while pursuing personal and professional interests at their own pace. Courses are available on a first-come, first-served basis in a variety of academic disciplines, including, anthropology, art, biology, business, computer science, English, geography, health, music, political science, rehabilitation services and theater.
Course listings can be found by clicking on “Not a Student?” at www.umf.maine.edu. Click on “Take One Course” and subject of interest to view course details. Course selection can then be added to the online book bag after which the registrant will be contacted by a staff member from the UMF Merrill Center.
