TOURVILLE, Quebec, Canada — Laurette D’Amours, 88, passed away on Aug. 1.

Born in Lewiston, July 9, 1922, she was the daughter of Antonio and Odile (Vermette) Veilleux. On May 22, 1943, she married Leo Cote, who passed away in April 1968.

Mrs. D’Amours was a member of Holy Cross Parish, until she moved to Canada, where she married Roland D’Amours and he passed away on March 7. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and most of all loved making jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita (Cote) Gendron; her son, John Cote of Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Rachel (Gendron) Perkins, Nicole (Gendron) Bisson and Mark Charest; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Aaron Perkins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Leo Cote; her second husband, Roland D’Amours; daughter, Pauline (Cote) Charest; and her brothers, Marcel, Roger and Robert Veilleux.
