DURHAM — A local mother and her young son were taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick after a two-vehicle crash at Plummer Mill, Swamp and Newell Brook roads early Wednesday evening.
Androscoggin County Deputy Sheriff Maurice Drouin said Nicole Bowen, 32, who is nine months pregnant, and her son, Dylan, 5, were passengers in a vehicle driven by her husband, Bert Bowen. No information was available on the extent of their injuries.
Drouin identified the driver of the second vehicle as Rhys Harrison, 37, of Phippsburg. Neither driver was injured.
Damage was estimated at $4,000 to Bowen’s 2005 GMC and $5,000 to Harrison’s 2004 Nissan in the 6:14 p.m. crash. The scene was on a curve on a hill.
