Auburn Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for youth football, grades 1-8.

Flag football for first- and second-graders will start the second week of September and will place an emphasis on fun and learning the basics of the game. Third and the Grade 4-6 teams are now part of the Maine Youth Football League, and will begin practices the week of August 16th. The seventh- and eighth-grade Falcons will form a varsity and junior varsity squad to compete in the highly spirited and competitive Western Maine Football league, and will practice three to four days a week.

The game schedule begins in early September and continues for a seven- to eight-game season. The Grade 7-8 practices will also begin the week of August 16th.

To be eligible to participate, players must pass a physical examination for contact sports administered by their family physician or other qualified individual (physical good for two years). Uniforms and protective equipment (except cup and mouth guard) are provided. Equipment will be issued Sunday, August 15th at 3 p.m. for Grades 7-8, and at 5 p.m. for Grades 3-6. Don’t delay, visit 48 Pettengill Park Rd. in Auburn or register online.
