RANGELEY — The Wilhelm Reich Museum on Dodge Pond Road will host “Discover the Discovery Room” on Monday, Aug. 23. The free program is for children and will be from 10 a.m. to noon, during the time the museum is normally closed. Children may bring a lunch and picnic on the grounds after the program.

The children’s hands-on Discovery Room is filled with all kinds of things for children to do while their parents visit the museum. Children will visit the room, then go outside where tables will be set up for hands-on activities, such as viewing colors through a prism.

The children will then take a short hike on one of the trails to gather materials to make their own slides using tape, and then look at their projects through a microscope. There will be tye-dyeing and many more activities. Carol Sullivan will do face painting.
