Army Reserve Sgt. Lisa J. McDonald is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively.

The soldiers will return to Fort Dix, N.J. for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned Army Reserve or National Guard units.

The sergeant served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Iraq Theater of Operations.

McDonald, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialist, is a member of the 619th Transportation Company, Auburn. She has served in the military for 22 years.

She is the sister of Timothy L. McDonald Jr. of Augusta. In 1988, McDonald graduated from Winthrop High School.
