KENTS HILL — International Folk music icon Arlo Guthrie will bring his tour “Journey On,” with special guests Abe Guthrie and the Burns Sisters, to Kents Hill School on Nov. 18.

Guthrie’s career exploded with his musical call to social consciousness and activism, “Alice’s Restaurant” in 1967. An artist of international stature and a natural-born storyteller, he has toured throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Newton Hall. The performance will be the second in the Aleigh Mills Concert Series, which supports the Aleigh Mills Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship was the vision Tim and Donna Mills in memory of their daughter Aleigh who was a member of the class of 2006 at Kents Hill School. Aleigh was known for her outgoing nature, concern for others and her generous spirit. The concert series was developed by Jamie Isaacson, co-founder of the North Atlantic Blues Festival.

General admission tickets are $55, with VIP seats available for $75. Tickets may be purchased online at www.kentshill.org/concertseries or by calling 685-4914. For more information, contact the Kents Hill School development office.
