WILTON — The 15th reunion of the descendants of Alton and Ethel (York) Adams was held recently at Lucille Stevens’ camp at Pease Pond. There were about 50 attending from Maine, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas and Vermont.

The time was spent socializing, swimming, playing games and having a potluck dinner. The business meeting was conducted by President Andy Goodwin. A moment of silence was held for deceased members. Candy Goodwin reported on the family cookbook and she would like more recipes.

The election of officers and committees was held with the same people elected for a two-year term. The officers are: honorary president, Jim Adams; president, Andy Goodwin; vice president, Candy Goodwin; secretary, Methel Goodwin; assistant secretary, Christina Goodwin; treasurer, Butch Adams.

After the meeting, the time capsule, which was buried in 2001, was dug up and a new one buried.

The statistical report given by the secretary included five births, two marriages and no deaths. There are now 143 direct descendants, 190 including spouses and 15 direct descendant deaths.

Next year’s reunion will be held on the fourth Saturday in July.
